Pommery is the second of meanwhile four already proven top foals our "grand old lady" Per Du donated us.  Pommery's older half brother Pictou was an Elite Auction horse, Pommery's younger half sisters Passion V and Pretty Woman won their respective age classes during the 2009 Bavarian Regional in-hand Championships.

Mating Per Du to the reserve champion of the 2002 licensing and dressage winner of his stallion performance test seems to us to have been perfect.  To our utmost regret Per Du was not able to donate us a full sister or brother to "Fritzy" in 2010.  But it is not only the sire's excellent genes, Pommery's dam Per Du adds all a rider's heart can wish to this great mix.  Per Du was successfully showed up to intermediate level in dressage, her perfect exterieur and gaits were acknowledged with a age class champion title during the Bavarian Regional In-Hand Show 2001 and still is an excellent schoolmaster for riding kids.

We reared Pommery as a colt and presented him to the selection comitee for the Neumünster Hengstmarkt.  Breeding director Lars Gehrmann entered Pommery into the list of reserve colts, however, he recommended to present him in spring, because he was not mature enough.  We then decided to say farewell to breeding ambitions and prepare him for a sports career.

Pommery qualifying for Bundeschampionat in München-Riem

At the early age of four Pommery created a furor while undisputedly winning the newly created title of a Baverian Trakehner Youngster Champion during the Bavarian Trakehner Horse Show in Kreuth.  Until now, Pommery finished nearly all of his contests - from novice test to intermediate young horse contest - among the top three competitors.  At age four he qualified for the German Bundeschampionat performing respectably among Germany's most promising dressage youngsters.  At age five we showed him in Ansbach for "Tag des Jungen Pferdes", where he finished on equal points with the Bavarian Trakehner Youngster Dressage Champion.

Solid and careful schooling resulted in great progress during the past two years.  Quite a number of placements in young-horse dressage tests and regular dressage tests up to intermediate level could be added to Pommery's records.

Meanwhile Pommery won and was placed in quite a number of M* and M** intermediate dressage contest.  In 2011 he achieved his first placements in S* advanced dressage tests.
